Rhonda Forsberg Photography

Like many other photographers I picked up my first camera at an early age and taught myself how to use it. No light meter, just trial and error, and the best education a photographer could have. However my love of photography started even earlier, on the floor of my grandmother's living room looking at Life Magazine and National Geographic. I knew then that picture making is what I wanted to do with my life. So why is my story any different? It is that same emotion, passion, and love of image making that drives my work today. Each wedding, each portrait session with a child or family becomes a joyful experience for me. Above all else, my intention is to have you experience this same joy during the session and when you hold your finished images in your hands. I want your photographic experience to be more than recording a moment in time. I want to capture and hold on to the loving look a groom gives his bride as she walks down the aisle. The tearful eye of a father giving his daughter away to the man that she has chosen to spend her life with. I want you to remember that giggling little 6-year-old girl with the skinned up knee trying to hide from my camera and me. Or that little 3-year-old boy that held as tightly to his teddy bear as he did his mother's leg. We are all as individual as our experiences. My goal as a photographer is to make those experiences memories that will last forever.

Along with my passion and love of photography, I have a solid educational background with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography and I have been shooting fine art for over 25 years. I have won awards locally, nationally and internationally. I am a member of Professional Photographers of America, Women In Photographer International, National Association of Photoshop Professionals, and the Society of Photographic Education. My experience and my education have taught me how to stop and really see the world around me, how to wait for just the right moment, and click--a memory is made.

I have been photographing weddings since 1999 and look forward to each one with fresh anticipation. My style is a mixture of storytelling and unobtrusively capturing your day as it happens.

My travel photography has taken me all over the world and I try to capture a sense of place with each location I visit.

Since relocating to Seattle, I have found a new passion: food and product photography. I work with Seattle Food Stylist, Anne Treanor Miska.

My fine art photography offers me the endless possibilities of expression and I still enjoy alternative process and will occasional will teach a class or workshop. I still mentor high school students when I have the time, and yes, I do love my job.

I look forward to serving the greater Seattle area, including Kirkland, Redmond, and Bellevue. Please call me today at 425.205.9073 for a free consultation whether it be for wedding photography, family portraits, children's portraits or, senior portraits. I love to hear your ideas.
